Believe it or not, today DryIcons is celebrating its first Anniversary, please have a drink and try the birthday cake.
During the first year of our existence we have grown quite significantly, and are now firmly standing on our own feet. The bumpy road we went through only made us stronger and more confident in what we do. Of course, our users were with us along the way, all the time, so here’s one to all of them: “Thank you for sticking with us, spreading the word and your tremendous support. We couldn’t do it without you!”.
Besides free cake and drinks, anniversaries are good for summing up the goals you’ve set for yourself and whether or not you achieved them. Not like any other icon developing website, DryIcons creates unique icons and icon sets and gives them away freely, that way we give priority to independent coders/developers, small design firms and organizations - against larger, well-funded corporations. That has been our basic goal when starting the DryIcons project and one year later, we feel more inspired to continue achieving our goals, than we ever had. In that manner, over the last year we have created 22 free icons sets with various icon styles and a total of 1618 free icons. However, not that we’re not going to stop at these numbers, our goal for the following year would be to double the icon production and give DryIcons our full attention.
Additionally, our second most important section, the Free Graphics has been updated daily, meaning that we’ve already created 307 (it’s day 307 from our “365 Free Graphics Project”) free vectors graphics and gave them away freely.
Comment & Win
Finally, a birthday’s not really one, if there are no presents. That’s why we decided to be giving away a pack of 10 DryIcons’ most popular graphics to 2 of our users that will comment on this post. This pack will consist of 10 .ai files as well as an Extended License for each one of them. Participants can post comments (spams will not be considered!!!) until the 10th of November 00:00 CET. The winners will be picked by a random generator. Please make sure you give us your active e-mail, so we can contact you.

I landed on your site the other day while googling and I couldn’t believe you were giving away wonderful designs of all sorts for free! I am a graphic artist myself and I know how much time consuming it must have been to make those designs. You are an amazing bunch of people (or is it just one person?).
