FAQ

What is DryIcons?

Not like any other icon developing website, DryIcons creates unique icons and icon sets, vector graphics and web templates and initially gives them away freely, with our Free License. That way DryIcons is giving priority to independent coders/developers, small design firms and organizations. For the rest of the users, who are not able to use the Works with the Free License, DryIcons offers two different, affordable licensing options, the Regular and the Extended License.

Are DryIcons Free Icons/Free GraphicsFree Templates really free of charge?

All DryIcons' Works (meaning "icons, icon sets, vector graphics graphics and web templates") are free of charge, but please read further under what Terms and Conditions.

All DryIcons Works are licensed under a DryIcons Free License. This means that you can use our icons, icon sets, vector graphics and web templates in any publicly accessible web site, web application or any form of presentation publicly accessible through the World Wide Web only according to the DryIcons Free License Terms and Conditions: you must put a back link with credits to https://dryicons.com on every page where DryIcons' Works are used (example: Icons by https://dryicons.com); you must include the correct back link to DryIcons website, which is: https://dryicons.com; you must place the link on an easy-to-see, recognizable place, so there is no confusion about the Original Author of the Works (DryIcons); when copying, or paraphrasing description text (or title) on one of the Works, you must make sure there are no spelling mistakes; do not try to take credit or imply in any way that you and not DryIcons is the Original Author of the DryIcons' Works (icons, icon sets and graphics). For a more detailed look at our Free License Agreement, please follow the link: DryIcons Free License

The project I'm working on doesn't allow me to back link to DryIcons.com, do you have a Regular License for that purpose?

For many developers and companies, back linking to DryIcons is not an option. This is why we have the DryIcons Regular License and the DryIcons Extended License. Please follow the link for a more detailed look: DryIcons Regular License and DryIcons Extended License.

Do you provide support for the Works purchased here?

DryIcons doesn't provide support for it's Works. You need to have certain knowledge to be able to use our icons, vector graphics and templates.

In which formats/sizes are the icons available?

Our icons are available in a variety of formats and sizes. Since our major targets are web oriented applications, we tend to supply all icon sets in perhaps the most adequate web image format, 32-bit PNG. This format is the most suitable for web applications since it provides real transparency feature which is very important for high quality icons. If you insist on using other formats (GIF or JPG for instance, which are also frequently used when it comes to web apps) you must bear in mind that a background color (for JPG), or at least a matte (for GIF) must be applied- in order to make the quality of the icons an obvious feature. Our icons are also suitable for desktop applications. They come in PNG file format, in the following sizes: 16x16px; 24x24px; 32x32px; 48x48px and 128x128px. The icons also come in ICO and ICNS file formats in 128x128 Px size.
